Obama had made his VP pick; Biden. McCain will be be announcing his choice soon to steal the limelight from Obama's nomination speech.

Personally, I think there is no significant effect on the race. What do you think?

Well McCain came out as a shock in picking his VP, CNN said that McCain only met Palin only once. McCain was able to take away the attention from yesterdays obama's speech with his vp choice. I think McCain was very smart to pick a lady, she might take all Clinton's supporters and all those who were complaining about Mccains age, i guess they will stop because Palin is pretty much young.

Obviously McCain thought that picking a woman VP will win him votes from Hillary supporters. The biggest irony of all is that he picked one with even less experience than Obama.

Zing, I think you brought up a good point here. I am a major McCain supporter, however I think that this may have been a bad move. Time will only tell.

When you consider the age of McCain then you also have to consider that whomever he picks may just be the next President of the US, so I'd say that is very important, wouldn't you?

I agree with BillT, and regardless to age it is the second highest office where you are privy to a lot of confidential information. You need someone trustworthy to fill those shoes.

Well, i very well agree with you, but this woman with no foreign experience would she be able to do anything?

Well i was watching the RNC last night, but it was full of attacks rather than what they have in store for America people. Rudy Giuliani was full of attack no wonder he lost the nomination, he said obama is just a commuinty organiser, come on i thinks that Sen. Obama should be proud to be a community organizer. Some notable community organizers: Jane Addams, Martin Luther King Jr., and Jesus Christ. The RNC should talk about the economy and other issues that amercan people are facing.

I think all palin did was talk about her family, well we are all from families and our families are great too lol. She did actually embarrass her son who was at the convention, by pointing out that he is going to Iraq soon. Th kid looked confused and suprised as if they had not discussed it with her mum, that she would mention of his trip to Iraq.
I laughed When she introduced the first dude(the husband).

Sarah Palin for better or for worse will be a significant factor in this closely fought presidential elections.

Sarah Palin really impressed me at the VP debate. She did a better job than Joe Biden at talking into the camera and to the American people. She seems more like us than all those career politicians. She is very charming too.
I think she gives John McCain balance the same way Joe Biden gives Obama balance.

I thought she controled the VP debate but also am a bit weary of her. I am not sure I want to risk having her as president or not. This is really tough for me because I have been a McCain man ever since the Republican primary back in 2000 when he was campaigning against Bush. I gained more respect for him during his time as a senator during the Bush administration. In my opinion he stood up against the current administration when it was needed. My troubles now are that he has one eightied on several issues. And I think that his selection of Palin was strickly for campaigning not as the best choice for his VP. I would have loved to see a McCain Lieberman ticket.

Well, she did good looking in the camera, but didn't do good answering the questions that she was asked. Well she has motivated people, especially women ever since her nomination, McCain has had alot of people at his rally than ever before.

McCain lieberman would be a great ticket, but i don't think conservatives would support it. Palin has movitated conservatives, because they identify themselves with her. The pit bull, soccer, hockey mum. She means to say an everyday american mother who holds american core values.

So far it looks like she been for better more peole at the campaign rally, but it seems like she doesn't talk issues, her attacks have drawn croweds though. May be it's what people like to hear. Nways politics is all about playing games, and when you find your niche, it's very posible it works for you.
