Of all the masterplan communities, I think one of the most desirable to live is Kingwood.

Kingwood is divided into 25 neighborhoods or villages.

New homes are still being built in Kingwood Greens, Kings River, Kings Point, Barrington and Royal Shores.

Given a choice, I would like to live in Kingwood Greens.

Kingwood is really huge. It is the largest master-planned community in Harris County and second-largest within the 10-county Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area.

Several other subdivisions and developments have also developed around the Kingwood area, though they are not actually part of Kingwood : Forest Cove, Deer Ridge Estates, North Kingwood Forest, Kings Lake Estates, Lakewood Cove and Woodspring Forest.

Kingwood is one of my favorite communities although I tend to enjoy any of the developments where the developer chose to leave the orginal trees. It tends to be a bit more expensive to build when one works around the trees, however, I think the added expense is more than worth it.

Not to mention that tree lined streets and neighborhoods keep the temperature down and reduces utility costs in the summer. And utility costs can be a large part of the cost to home ownership.

I had to agree that management, utility and related costs are can quite expensive but at least they are professionally managed. If I am not mistaken, there are a couple of association management companies for various Kingwood subdivisions.

For Kingwood Greens Village in particular, the managing agent is Association Management, Inc. (AMI).

AMI is engaged by the Board of Directors to provide a complete range of services for the community, including administrative services, financial services, and physical property services.

For families with school-going-kids, Humble ISD serves the community of Kingwood and also portions of unincorporated Harris County (including the community of Atascocita). The district serves over 33,000 students.

The public library system is also awsome!

Dedicated on August 12th, 1983, the 12,000 square-foot Kingwood Branch of the Harris County Public Library, has a collection of more than 100,000 books.

n addition to the Kingwood Library, and within Kingwood, there is also the Kingwood Community College library.
