I would like to suggest that a miscelleaneous section on real estate discussion as a catch all be created as there are many issues not covered by the major subforums, like for example timing of a sale of house and moving house issues.
I feel as though your suggested thread is already in the off topic chat. If you disagree then let me know why and I will see to adding your forum suggestion.
