Default The Woodlands

I have a friend who just recently moved into the Woodlands. According to him, this is one of the largest and most popular master planned communities.

What do you think?

I love the Woodlands it is my favorite of the suburbs but I have decided to make a move back into town. I am looking at the Heights area right now. If you are interested in living in the suburbs I think the Woodlands is by far the best choice. Although many people might argue with me since the Houston area has lots of nice places to live.

The Woodlands community is about 30 miles from downtown Houston in Montgomery County. An interesting point is that most of the Woodlands lies in the city of Houston's extraterritorial jurisdiction and the city limits of Shenandoh.

Does anyone know the status of negotiations to make Woodlands becoming a full city itself?

Having the Woodlands become a city of its own has been in the works for awhile. One of the big hold backs is Spring, Conroe and Shenandon don't want to loose the tax base. And money plays huge in these sorts of things.
