I was just wondering if Ike will affect real estate prices? Maybe some may be reluctant to buy on the coast if they know each year they are going to have to worry about if a hurricane is going to hit them.
There is always some short lived fears but the pleasant weather and high availability of jobs will keep people buying here for years to come.

I guess known factors like the weather and natural disasters are factored into all considerations and real estate prices should be too much affected in the long run. In the short run, there are to be some repercussions.
