Default How to Prepare for an Appraisal

A appraisal is one of the most important aspect of marketing your property. How do you adequately prepare for an appraisal and what are the pitfalls that should be avoided.

You prepare for an appraisal by completing any repairs that would be noted in a visual inspection. You also sharpen up the landscaping and other aspects of curb appeal. Then you provide comparables to the appraiser that allow for him to come back with the highest possible value.

This is based my personal experience.

They are usually looking at the square footage. They might not even come in. Unless your house is totally destroyed inside, I cant imagine why you care.

Just clean it, like you would do for any party. All the best

They need to measure the area with their rolling ruler, so they need to get to the floor in each room. They are only looking at the size and condition of the actual condo, they don't care about cleanliness.
