Default Rent to Own

Is it really logical to rent to own from a landlord or are you generally looking for trouble?

It is fine to enter into a rent to own contract. The thing you need to look out for is that any funds you put down for the option period can be used towards your closing costs or downpayment. Also make sure you intend to purchase the home because if you do not you will be out your option payment and possible your deposit.
